Stout Library Catalog
Use the Stout Library Catalog to identify books and media about your authors and their works.
- A KEYWORD search will retrieve the items written by an author, as well as items about an author.
- A SUBJECT search will retrieve items ABOUT an author and his/her works. Enter last name first, e.g. Hemingway Ernest. In the result list, look for the subdivision "Criticism and Interpretation" or the name of an individual work.
- If a subject search for an author brings no results, try a broader subject search for criticism, such as:
- AMERICAN FICTION HISTORY AND CRITICISM
- AMERICAN FICTION 2OTH CENTURY HISTORY AND CRITICISM
- AMERICAN LITERATURE 20TH CENTURY HISTORY AND CRITICISM
- AMERICAN LITERATURE AFRICAN AMERICAN AUTHORS HISTORY AND CRITICISM
- DETECTIVE AND MYSTERY STORIES AMERICAN HISTORY AND CRITICISM
