Linking to a Films on Demand Video

For Films on Demand videos:

1. Find the video.

2. Scroll to the bottom of the page. 

3. Copy and paste the URL that is in the Title URL (also sometimes labeled Segment URL) box into your D2L course. This will direct students to the article from on and off-campus.

Linking to an Academic Video Online (Alexander Street Press) Video

For Academic Video Online (Alexander Street Press) videos:

1. Find the video.

2.  Click on the Embed/Link link.

 

3. To copy the link to your D2L course, click on the Copy Link button. Or, If you wish to embed the video directly into your D2L course, click on the Copy Embed Code button.

Tips

  • If you do not see an example for the database that you need to use listed here, contact the library: Go to our Ask-a-Librarian page to get assistance.
  • Do not copy and paste the URL in your browser's web address bar unless directed to do so in the information presented on this page.
  • To allow off-campus users to view content, most links will require the UW-Stout Library proxy server URL as part of the link you send to students. The info for each of the databases/providers explains how to do this.
