The websites from your instructor are outstanding. But, all websites are not worthy to be included in research.

Websites should be creditable, authoritative and current.  Use Evaluating Resources to decide if a source is an acceptable site.

Also, be sure to know your instructor's wishes in going beyond the cites provided.

   Read Write Think from the International Reading Association and the National Council of Teachers of English. Select Lessons tab or Standards tab.

   ALA American Library Association Offical website. Contains award lists and promotional ideas for literacy related events including Teen Reading programs.

   ALAN Online Official site of the Assembly on Literature for Adolescents.

   School Library Journal The world's largest reviewer of books, multimedia, and technology for children and teens.

   The Horn Book; Publications About Books For Children and Young Adults. Official website of the professional journal.

   PW; Publishers' Weekly International book and bookselling news, reviews, and bestsellers.

   International Reading Association (IRA) Offical website of the organizations which aims to provide descriptions of effective reading practices around the world.
