Hello Thesis Writing Students!

 All information in this guide is based upon the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association, 6th edition, also commonally known as The APA Manual.  The APA manual states that graduate schools can preempt APA style rules. Therefore, this guide includes references to Stout Graduate School thesis-writing convention.

The Research Paper Template, produced by the Graduate School, is considered "The Bible" for thesis formatting. The template is ocassionally revised. Be sure to check the Graduate School Website for the most recent edition.

REMINDER: if you notice discrepancies between the manual and the template, follow the template!
